If there were no Bluetooth then I don't think there will be something like Hands-Free talking. Bluetooth headsets and Bluetooth-enabled car stereos has made it possible for you to talk while you keep your phone in your pocket.

But why do will stop at headsets and hands-free talking? There are also headphones which allow the transmission of clear audio, and also car stereos which can play music off of your phone. Also many car stereos have buttons on either the device or the car steering wheel which allow you to switch between songs, which gives some control alongside the wireless audio.

Keyboards and Mice

Obviously audio and hands-free communication is the most common use of the Bluetooth, but there’s a lot more you can do. Do you want to be more productive on your phone or tablet then you could consider pairing your keyboard and either your phone or tablet. I think I prefer typing on a physical keyboard than on a touch screen and haven't met people that  preferred touchscreens for fast typing. There are some device that allow you to pair up your mouse and use the device like a desktop.

File Transfers

You can also easily and securely transfer a file between two Bluetooth enabled device. For example, you can send a file from your Bluetooth-enabled computer to your Android phone by using the computer’s interface to initiate the file transfer. On your Android phone, you’ll have to install an app called Bluetooth File Transfer which can take care of the rest.

Internet Tethering
